MDX Sweeps the First Round

On a sunny afternoon, the Maryland Express lacrosse teams played well with a sweep of three games against Timperley. It began with a 10 - 3 win with the U14 boys team, continued with a 10 - 2 win for the girls, and ended with a nail-biter 7 - 6 game for the U16 boys. All games were terrific to watch, and we loved seeing the players exchange bracelets and shirts at the end of each game.

The weather was great, the sportsmanship was terrific, and international relations are alive and well at the Timperley Club.

After the game, the kids all dispersed with fun activities. Some of the girls went to the cinema, while others joined the parents at the Griffin Pub. The girls then tired of the parents and walked to the Healey's home to watch a movie. It was great to see all of them snuggled together as great pals!

On the boys' side, several of the boys stayed at the Timperley club for fish & chips on the club grounds. Others went to a bar-b-que.

All in all, it was a terrific, sunny day. The kids are getting ready to see the World Cup finals today. More later!!
